UK Renewable Energy Experts Visited INELT

On Mar. 27-31, 2017, two UK renewable energy experts, Prof. Tapas Mallick, from University of Exeter, and Assoc. Prof. Yupeng Wu, from University of Nottingham, paid a visit to INELT, invited by Prof. Lingzhi Xie, deputy dean of INELT. They visited the New Energy Material Laboratory of INELT, the Ministry of Education Key Laboratory of Deep Underground Science and Engineering at Sichuan University, Chengdu Quality Inspection and Zhongli Talesun Solar Co., Ltd. Prof. Tapas Mallick and Prof. Yupeng Wu gave presentations entitled“Building Integrated Photovoltaic Research: Challenges & Opportunities" and“Energy Efficient Window for Energy Saving and Generation", respectively, focusing on the research status and prospect of building integrated photovoltaics. Afterwards, both sides participated in a seminar, aiming at the execution of the current China-UK cooperation research project“Embedded systems for Integrated Photovoltaics in Rural Buildings". Experts from both sides had an active discussion and thorough communication about the current research progress, milestone schedule, and collaboration details, etc., which would further benefit the smooth implementation of the China-UK research project.
